topic Wi-Fi printer in Archive

Can anybody help me, please? I have a new wi-fi printer which I have set up so that I can print from another room. What is confusing is there are two security keys on the BT Business Hub Wireless Settings card and I have set up the wi-fi with the WPA key, which works. When I start up the laptop, it seems to toggle between the two settings sometimes connecting to BT Business Hub-241 and sometimes BTFusion-8241 (the one I have set up the printer to recognise). Do I need both wireless connections, or could I just delete BT Business Hub-241?

Hi there judy49,

OK - first thing I would suggest is to use the BT Business Hub-241 network and not the fusion one. The reason being is the fusion network was designed for a phone type system and doesn´t allow all web traffic. You may find it hard to get certain things or websites to work. I know changing the printer will be a bit of a pain but will be better in the long run. So you would use the BT Business Hub-241 network with the WEP key on the router. That will sort it all out.

Chris
