Hi please help

I have a 2wire modem set up to access my isp which is AOL, everything works fine on my 2 pc laptops, but when i try to access secure sites like ebay, amazon or my bank on my Apple macbook pro nothing happens. All other sites work that are not secure. I have tried AOL customer support who suggested it was the MTU but i could not change this on the router. I tried them again and was then told every router has a default MTU which shouldnt be changed my problem could not be resolved. I know my way round the router and my mac so any helpful posts relating to this problem would be great.

BT 2wire gateway router

ISP AOL

MAC OS X 10.5.8

MTU is 1500 Default

Thanks for your time.

Hi there sedge90,

You can change the MTU in all versions of the 2wire we have supplied. Is the 2wire a router we have supplied? If so can you visit the configuration pages and post what side the BT logo is at? Then I can direct you to where to go to change the MTU.

Chris
