I have an existing network running Win Small Business Server 2003 with two NICs. One to a LAN - the client PC's have proxiy settings to point back to the server:8080 for internet access. That IP is static and in the range of hte LAN.

The other NIC connects to the 2701HGV-C router. DHCP allocates the IP address which is a static public adress on the router. The firewall on the router is open for all apps and ports to the server. As far as I can see I have configured the server for internet and the router for SBS.

From the server and any client I can ping the router (public ip address) but I cannot ping any external site nor can I access the net from a browser.

I've been though settings time and time again, The only suspect I have is the NAT stuff on the router, I can set the public static address, as per the guide, to the server NIC and the configuation is good, but when i revisit the admin page I see the wrong address for WAN IP Mapping (Public from pool 10.0.0.0 and not fixed 10.0.0.10).

Any advice on where to look for potential set up problems?

Thanks!
