Doubtless some marketing group were consulted on the choice of "Fibre to the Premises"'s name - are we supposed to be swayed by FTP being a real protocol?!

Hi,

To be honest there are a lot of acronyms out there that resemble one another, and what would you rather they had called it? George? Flange? Gutwrench Postman Pat Smeagol?

As you may or may not have noticed BT gave the FttC product the name Infinity eventually, but it is still mostly referred to as FttC. I have no doubt Flange will eventually have the same treatment.

/sigh

Dave A

(It was also in some cases referred to as FttH, but I think that was mostly superceded because not all buildings are homes)
