Internet speed?!?

Hey,

Im really starting to get annoyed with the speed im getting from BT! If i run the speed checker for my line it says i should be getting Between 3.5Mb and 7.5Mb (Estimated speed: 5.0Mb) I WISH!! if i look at my BT bussines Hub it says

Broadband

	448Kbps
	7616Kbps

Which is what my line is caped at im guessing?

If i ran t2o diff tests the BT one and speedtest.net over the day and night every hour or so and the highest i got is Download : 2.38 and Upload 0.32 .... This has been going on for while.. I ring BT and they just say theres nothing wrong, but there must be somthing when my speed doesnt even go up to what yopur website says is the minimum!

I Hope someone can please help im fed up of rining you get sent to so many diffent places... Thought id try this way of doing it hope somone can help me get the speed i am surpouse to get 😞

I am suffering from the same thing - despite numerous calls to BT and a new home hub I'm still not getting correct speed.

I haAve been using Yahoo Messenger for viseo calling but all of a sudden 3 weeksa ago the signal kept dropping out - it is nearly costing me a relationsahip and its a loada crap.

I'm getting nowhere with BT apart from different advisors with different advice and a huge load of apologies. \If I could guarantee speed elsewhere I would move tomorrow

Would love to hear if you get an answer and solution

Dial-up speeds of 56Kbit/s may be a thing of the past for many UK residents, but some people throughout the land remain saddled with painfully slow internet connections, courtesy of their local broadband infrastructure.

New research published by uSwitch has crowned a Suffolk town as having the slowest average download broadband speed (0.128Mbit/s) in Blighty. Halesworth came out on top of a list that recorded speeds submitted by 1.5 million visitors to the uSwitch website between March and August this year.

In other news it appears Ofcom will be delivering a second bout of bitchslapping to serveral ISP's in the new year regarding advertised connection speeds and have basically said if an ISP wants to claim a figure then a reasonable percentage of users must be able to obtain it and not just a select few.

I can see that your Synch speed looks fairly normal for an ADSL Max line, snazy2000. Those figures suggest a potential download speed range better than 3.5 - 5Mbps (these estimates are, by necessity, conservative).
