if you give the helpdesk a call on 0845 600 7020 they'll be able to provide you with your password once they confirm security with you. I'm certain that once you're connected on the right details your static IP's will work correctly.

There's a few things you can try.

You need to ensure the public network has been enabled on the router via Settings> Broadband> Link Configuration and scroll down to Public IP Address... enter your gateway and subnet for your IP's here.

If you've just ordered the static IP's, you need to reboot your router. If your router is still on the same session it had before you purchased the IP's, then a reboot will let the IP's map to your login.

Ensure you're connected on the correct username and password, all IP mapping is done via the login process, if you're on the incorrect details the IP's won't route properly.

If all of the above has been done and is correct and you're still not getting web, assign the IP to your server and do a tracert to google's IP (209.85.137.94), if you're getting about 4 hops in then timing out, it's possible another router is connected on your login details. Do you have more than one BT BB line in the premises? Do you have a line in another location but the router for this site was sent to that location?

if you're still not getting web with your statics after all that, the best option would be to call the helpdesk.

We have internet connectivity from inside the private network - 192.168.1.0/255 and that's working fine. I't simple the machine that I have assigned a static IP address to.

The checks below have all been done - The router has been given the IP address and correct subnet - whats the "Auto Forewall open" option?

When I do a traceroute to google I can't get past the first hop - which is the Router IP address so it looks like there's no traffic going past there.

Strange thing is, is that I can get to the machine from the outside world! I've got a web page open on there and I can hit it no problem - it's just outbound traffic from the server

No there's nothing that blocks it by default, and if you can get web via a private 192 IP over the routers dynamic peer address then no custom settings have been applied in the firewall advanced settings section as all traffic would be blocked, not just traffic used by the public IP's.

If i've checked the correct account, it looks like your router is connected on the default green-light@service.btblick.com username, can you go to Settings> Broadband> link Configuration and check what username is in the box?
