We have just got BT infinity for Business a week ago, and right from the first day we were unable to access the internet many times a day (simutaniously on all computers wireless and wired)

At first I assumed it would just settle down after a few days, but it hasn't. I don't think it is the Broadband that is disconnecting because at the same time I am unable to access the router admin page.

After a few minutes of being unresponsive it will automatically fix itself.

At the time it is unresponsive all the lights on the router are solid green, as if it has frozen - it doesn't power down it just leaps back into life after a few minutes.

Does this sound like a hardwear fault? I have already rung BT and they have said they can't see any faults on the line.

Perhaps there's a setting that's been carried over that reset isnt clearing.
I think the reset button and the web admin reset both pull values from the same location, but just in case they dont, try resetting with the web utility.

The only thing I could think to try would be to dump your nvram settings and compare them to another working unit on the same version

Try running some extended ping tests and take a note of the results for me please.

Go to start > run and type cmd or go to start > all programs > accessories and choose command prompt.

Type 'ping www.google.com -t' without the quotes

Open another command prompt window and type 'ping 192.168.1.254 -t'

Both should have replies, first let me know what kind of 'time' in ms you see for each reply then take a note of which window stops replying when you have this problem.
