I think your are referring to a Linux based system. The instructions are actually set at GUI.

First of all, are you able to access the GUI? Troubleshooting this is a long process. Make sure first that your SSH service is up when trying to access from the local side. You can prolly check the logs and see if the packet is forwarded from the WAN side to local.

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to set up port forwarding on this router.

Specifically trying to forward port 5000 to port 22 (ssh) on a server.

I've been in the settings, set up the application and attempted to set up the port forward.

It appears to save but the forwarding doesn't seem to work.

I followed the steps as per http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9445/c/426,427,1951

I've tried several times with no success. Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Any reason why it would not like this port?

Thanks in advance

Matt

I've no idea why its not working but you could try moving your ssh server on to port 5000 (or similar).

I think its set in /etc/sshd/sshd_config or similar.

Mike
