Upgrade to Infinity but keep existing Business Hub?

Hi,

We're about to upgrade from DSL to Infinity, and I think BT are going to be sending us a new Business Hub 3.

However, we already have the 2701HGV-C hub, which I think was originally supplied with Infinity installations.

Would it be possible to continue using this existing hub?

This will save having to spend time reconfiguring the new Business Hub 3 with the firewall and IP address settings we need (which are already configured and working on the old hub)

Other sites on the Internet seem to suggest the Business Hub 3 is basically the same hardware as the "Home Hub 3A", which doesn't have a great reputation - is that correct?

Yes, you can continue with the 2701 - just feed the modem output into the WAN/Fibre socket. It is detailed in the 2701 documentation.

Yes, the BH3 is a reworked Residential Hub.
