I am a total newbie when it comes to this sort of thing which is why I did my research on it and went for a DNS325!

I travel a lot and I need to have access to my files through a share drive type interface. Researching on the internet it seemed that I could do this using a NAS and further reading confirmed this. I have just purchased a D-Link 325 and set it up on my HH3. I have managed to get it on the network and I have access to it whilst I am at home, but as soon as I travel out of the home network I cannot connect to it at all. I have business broadband and a static IP address.

I expect I need to set up port forwarding and maybe a DNS? But having read so many forums, and having spoken to BT I am just becoming more confused and fed up with suppliers now telling me I have to buy bolt on to get it to work.

Any assistance in getting this things working would be greatly appreciated

What exactly does BT told you about it? Sometimes, the reason you got this problem is that for you to buy more of their services.
