Hi,

Just been 'upgraded' to infinity, but nobody told me my VOIPs would be disconected.

Can I plug my old router back in with the infinity box between the line?

I have read through the forum and people have done it with their own private routers. Surprisingly, nobody has wrote about using the old ADSL router.

Does the router limit the speed? I thought the infinity box just sped up the line, then converted it back to dsl...?

Can I bridge the routers somehow?

Which router did you have and which have they supplied you with?

I have Infinity and use VOIP - through my 2701 Hub ...

When the new hub was being trialled, I asked to be included but was excluded as I had VOIP through the 2700.

Three options: firstly, if your old hub is a 2701 (not 2700) you can connect it direct to the modem and ignore teh new hub. The 2701 has a WAN/Fibre input on the back.

If your old hub is a 2700 you will need to ask Tech Support to send out a 2701 - they apparently have some for situation such as yours.

Lastly, you could try setting the 2700 as a slave off the new hub - there is a sticky post in this forum on using it as a second WAP, and seeing if VOIP works.

So, you have the new version of the 2wire.

The VOIP setup is fairly easy:

https://service.btbroadbandvoice.bt.com/bbv/online/businessConfig?s_cid=btb_FURL_btcom/businessbbv

and follow it through.

And if you want, you can connect your OLD 2wire2700 to the new and have a second WAP.
