Is there a way to track download/upload usage?

I've just signed up to BT Infinity and I remember on the phone they told me there would be a 100GB limit.

It's pretty unlikely I'll hit that, but there are occaisions when I need to downlaod large image and document files for work and I have had occiaion where I need to download, amend then upload several in a month.

I'd like to be able to track or know when I'm reaching this limit.

Anyone know if theres a way to tell?

I don't believe there is a limit - but there is an FUP which limits P2P.

However, in answer to your question, there is no easy way, but I can recommend downloading the Think Broadband Meter application. It can monitor all PCs on the connection (that have it loaded) provide a warning that you are getting close to a limit and give you access to the daily/hourly upload and download totals. I use it as a general guide.

Interesting, wierd how she made a big thing of the 100Gb thing on the phone to me when I was enquiring about signing up. Its not a great sales pitch to say there are limits when there arent

100GB is a huge amount of limit, but if you are talking about for a month, it is actually not enough. Does this limit can be upgraded or are there any plans without such limit?

Hi,

Just to clarify - if you have Infinity Option 1 there is a 100 GB per month limit, which is why the sales person made a deal of it. If, however, you have Option 2, which is also the version that doubles the speed where available, then there's no usage limit.

What MHS posted is perfectly legit as well.

The one missing piece of this puzzle is tracking usage. TB's meter is fine, as is Networx (which I use), and there are various others with a whole slew of features like tracking multiple machines, etc. You can also drop an email to liteusage@btbroadbandoffice.com and we can check the figures in our system for you. If you include the following then we can answer straight off:

- Broadband phone number

- Answer to the security question

- Period you want to check
