Keeping Original Phone Number

I am moving my business and would really like to keep the original telephone number

Would any one be able to tell me if I can keep my telephone number If I am moving to a different area code?

I will be moving from Littlehampton, West Sussex (01903) to Chichester, West Sussex (01243)

If not what other options to I have? diverting etc?

Customers can retain landline numbers when porting them to our Business Broadband Voice and BT Hosted VoIP products and services (subject to compatibility). Details found at:Broadband Voice and also Hosted Voip.
