Can not send out in windows live mail

When trying to send out a message with . btinternet.com account in windows live mail, it says

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'username@btinternet.com'.

Subject 'test'

Hi there,

You can't send through btconnect servers with a btinternet email so change the smtp server back to smtp.btinternet.com and click the more settings button in your account properties. Enable 'my outgoing server requires authentication' and keep the dot in 'use same settings as incoming server'
