BT2700HGV Firmware upgrade needed

Hi Our buisness has an old BT Hub 2 and its firmware is

Software Version:

5.29.117.6

I have been trying for days to get a LT2P VPN working and it seems the firmware may be the issue is there anyway to download the new V6+ firmware?

Not sure if BT can push the firmware out still or is our Hub too old now?

There are some whio suggest that the 5.29.117.6 firmware is better than some of the 6.xx releases.

It is possible to download a later version but not easy to revert it if you need to.

Why not have a look on ebay for a 2700 or 2701 with the latest firmware - they are available for £10 upwards! That way you can thry the latest but retai your old one in case there are other issues.

Hi,

Yeah the v5 firmware doesn't show on our system any more, so it won't ever update.

Aside from MHC's advice you could call the Helpdesk and let them know, and they'd be able to send out a replacement (probably a 2701), as it is effectively a broken router.
