I seem to be able to connect all my devices with no problem, but for some reason I cannot connect my Sky wireless (on Demand) or Wii U console, it just fails every time, any advice would be greatly appreciated?

does this connect and run extremely slowly ? I had similar problems with this, but have managed to fix with about 30 mins diagnosis.

step 1 turn off all other wireless devices

step 2 attempt to either the Sky or the Wii ( not both )

Step 3 if this works then it may be that the router is having difficulty handling a large amount of traffic. ( you will notice that if you ping the router with all devices turned on you will see drop outs every 2-3 minutes )
you can ping the router by doing the following

on windows
click the start button > search > search for "CMD" this will bring up a black box with white writing in it > type "ping -t 192.168.1.254" this will show you data being passed to the rouer and will show you is the connection drops

on Mac

go to the finder ( the blue and white face) > search for "terminal" type ping 192.168.1.254

If you see a repeating patern of drops it can be an issue with the WIFI channel or with the router being unable to handle the large quantities of data being passed through this
