I had Business Infinity installed on the 7th Jan, when it was first installed the upload and downloads speeds were extremely good, 70+ Mbps download and almost 20 Mbps upload. After about 10 days I noticed the download speed had dropped slightly, I believe this was down to line training. since then the line speeds have dropped further, over the last week or so (about 8 weeks after install) my speeds have dropped to a download speed of about 55 Mbps and an upload speed of about 8 Mbps. The problem I have is with the upload speed, I've spoken with the helpdesk and have been told that nothing can be done, they refused to run a retrain on the line. because of the upload speed I can no longer use video conferencing and using remote access has also become a problem. I do not accept that nothing can be done. Can anyone help? I'm now stuck with a broadband connection that is not fit for purpose.

Thanks

Dave

Your upload speed has dropped TO 8mbps? I am a little confused as to why you can't use this speed for video conferencing? I am sure you should certainly be able to still engage in video conferences with 8mbps. (My own business specifically requires upload speed for live HD video streaming).

Were you given an actual quote as to what speeds to expect from any BT representative when you placed your order?

For BT Infinity for Business I believe I was quoted from 5mbps - 8mbps for upload.

What upload speed do you require?

Hi

I was quoted 20 Mbps, this I think was an estimate though. The point I've tried to make, is, when my broadband was first installed my speeds were fantastic, the line was reliable, I know this because I often run a RAS client over the connection and it hasn't dropped once. I understand there is some kind of training or settling in period, but surely after 8 weeks my speeds shouldn't have just plummeted like they have. I use video conferencing frequently so I can speak with colleagues, my current bandwidth no longer allows me to do this.
