&lt;P&gt;You are completely correct.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you have a single static IP address firing in the correct Chap Username and Password will get you your static IP back&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This would be on 2 separate letters sent to you when you first took out BT broadband.&amp;nbsp; If you no longer have these feel free to &lt;A href="https://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/contact" target="_self"&gt;contact us&lt;/A&gt; and we will get this for you.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Replacement hub installed, lost static IP address</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;We have 1 static IP address assigned to our BT business broadband service.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This morning, the existing 2700HGV mysteriously developed a connection fault &amp;nbsp;(broadband LED flashing, no ADSL line speeds reported on hub home page)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rebooting it a few times made no difference, so we unboxed a&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;spare sealed/unused 2700HGV (with older v6.1.1.48 firmware) and plugged it in. The broadband/internet service is now restored. &amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;Unfortunately, we seem to have lost the static IP address assigned to our broadband connection.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;We tested momentarily unplugging the ADSL cable, but upon reconnection, we got yet another different dynamically assigned public IP address.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Update: I think it may be a username issue. &amp;nbsp;The new hub uses default username 'green-light' and has failed to automatically populate itself with the correct BT username and password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="line-height: 15px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
