Hi Jamie, it sounds similar to the problems we're having here https://business.forums.bt.com/t5/Broadband-and-internet/BT-2700-HGV-Router-problems/td-p/74431

I'm not familiar with the router, are you able to check the system logs? if it transpires there is a problem with external access attempts, i'm considering a dumb modem connected to an IPFire box...

We have been experiencing loss of connection issues over the last couple of weeks. The BB is required to stream music to a sonos setup in our pub.

We are losing all throughput intermittently, it doesnt appear that we are always losing sync, as all 3 lights remain blue on the Business Hub 3 most of the time although not every time. But all devices whether wired or wireless are unable to communicate at all (even to load the router GUI when they appear to be connected). After a period of time 20-30 minutes connection sometimes returns on other occassions we need to reboot the router.

I have done a factory reset on the router - No change

tried a second Business Hub 3 - No change

had a BT engineer change our really old phone socket to a service specific filtered faceplate - No change

Remove and power down every device and only connect the sonos system and a tablet or phone to control it. This included removing our wired ubuntu PC - No change

Replaced the Sonos bridge that is wired to the router - No change

Disabled uPnP - No change

The system worked perfectly for some time after the latest sonos software update, so seems unlikely to be that.

I have replaced all the wires both rj45 and ethernet and power - no change

We have even regraded the line from up to 8meg to up to 20 ( Our sync went from consistent 7 to 15, although this has now dropped to around 9 but this is due to the amount of times we have had to reboot the router during the training period) Still no change

The fault is being looked at by a senior faults team, who are also at a loss although are trying everything that we can think of.

Any ideas would be appreciated as I dont know what to do and face having no music for the Xmas period.

thank you

J
