cabinet 25 question

Can anyone tell me when cabinet 25 ,yeovil will be upgraded to take DSL , in 2015 I would have expected more than 1 mb connection ,in fact as off now I have no internet as there is a fault at the exchange ,I have put up with a very slow 1mg connection for too long now .if this has gone in the wrong forum please move to the correct one

Hi sumoquirjey,

Thank you for sending me your details, I have had a look at your line number and there is no date as to when/if you will be able to get a faster service (fibre broadband) as it would appear your cabinet has not been upgraded yet to support fibre broadband.

To get more than 1Mb for your location you would need to look into either a bonded service where you can combine the speeds of upto 4 lines, or you would be looking at a leased line/private curcuit where you can tailor the speed to your requirments.

Hi sumoquirjey,

A bonded service would roughly be 2,3 or 4 times what you are paying just now as you would require an addtional 2,3,or 4 lines, as for leased lines I beleieve these start around £150-200 a month as they are dedicated broadband lines from the exchange.
