BT Infinity using own router - will BT Wifi sharing still work?

Hello All,

Just a quick question (hopefully).

I've just had BT Fibre installed with a Home Hub 5 etc. I'm happy to be opted into the whole BT Wifi thing but...

I've been thinking about using my own router instead of the HH5. I also have one of those Openreach modems kicking around to make this a possibility.

However. My question is:

If I use my own router, will my BT Wifi share still work?

Is this programmed into the BT router itself and will it stop working if I use my own router?

I only ask because the whole BT Wifi thing is important to me. I'd rather leave things as they are if it's going to mess up the BT Wifi agreement etc 🙂
