I put that suggestion to the BT Busainess migration team which implemented the change, and they said there shouldn't be an issue with the router so nothing needed to be done. Which helpdesk should I go to -- BT Business or some other helpdesk?

My BT Business Brioadband account was migrated by BT six weeks ago to a regular domestic BT Infinity account with unlimited broadband.

I no longer have access to any BT Business broadband account previously tied to my telephone number or to what was my BTconnect email (save that I had set it up so that emails were automatically forwarded to a Gmail address, and they continue to be so).

Yet BT Business continually send me emails warning of excess charges for exceeding my broadband limit -- ie the limit on the old account. It's driving me mad. How can I make BT Business stop?

Hi davidw2,

Since moving from Business broadband, did you reconmfigure your router/hub to be used on a Home broadband line? If not your internet usage will still be getting tracked through your business broadband details.

I would contact the helpdesk to get your router/hub checked that it is setup correctly for a home broadband line.

Hi davidw2,

the home helpdesk will help to reconfigure the router as the business desk wont know what details you should be using.

Have had online chat with very pleasant helpdesk assistant. He says there should no longer be a problem, though as far as I know nothing has been changed abiout the router. We'll see.
