Why is my site not recognised by search engines

I've been trying to get www.candspropertyservices.com recognized by search engines by going through the promotions bits every other day, but no search engine recognises the site.

I can get to the site using the address bar.

This is the first time I've used BT to host a site and have ever had this problem with any other site I have set up.

it can take a couple of weeks for the submission to be accepted

do a google search for "google webmaster tools" there you can submit your site to google for ranking and it will also get you to do several things like verify the site and upload a site map etc to google. it will then within a week or 2 be on the searches

ps. my site is now available on google rankings. it took a week

I've done that every couple of days, added the extra meta tags they wanted and still nothing.

I am finding it all very frustrating as I have done this for a friend.

well i went through the google webmaster stuff and the site optimizer in the website centre on the bt account. maybe the BT optimizer caused it to appear. shocked if it did it and google didnt though
