Advanced Package + Zend Optimizer?

Hello,

My friend bought Advanced hosting package at BT and asked me to help him with his website. Actually he needs a special php+MySQL CMS to be installed onto the server, but there's one issue - this CMS requires ZendOptimizer to be available. I have an experience of building custom PHP engine + ZendOptimizer on FreeBSD servers but as I may understand - CentOS is used on BT hosting and I don't know how to install all this there. Is there a possibility to set up ZendOptimizer somehow?

UPD: first of all I need help to build custom CGI PHP (PHP as a CGI module). To do this, basilly I need the php.ini file with the same settings as at the whole servers. If I run phpinfo() script at BT - I see that the directory for php.ini is /usr/local/lib/php.ini but I cannot copy the ini file from there - it says there's no such file. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Alex

Message Edited by aexb on 31-07-2009 10:24 AM

Message Edited by aexb on 31-07-2009 10:44 AM

Dave,

Not at all - this mostly depends on server configuration. If I will be able to make my own PHP as CGI module - it will use its own php-cgi.ini config file and this will never break PHP for other users.

But I read some server documentation and noticed that compilation is disallowed there. So I need BT technical assistance to install Zend Optimizer for my domain.

Thank you!
