Hi DrMopp

There is no way to manually upgrade the firmware as the upgrades are done in batches to routers connected to Broadband directly. Firmware isn't updated all that frequently so even connecting it normally every few months and leaving it for 15 minutes would likely do the trick.

Hi, I am using a spare BT Business Smart Hub as an access point for a 'dead spot' in our premises, and all going fin but the firmware on this older device is out of date. I would like to update it but from what I have read the only way that will happen is if I connect it in place of the main router. Don't really want to 'mess up' our broadband connection which thus far has been fast, and stable, is there any way of ugrading the firmware manually?
