Hopefully a fairly simple problem to solve. I have 2 cameras set up in bird boxes. They have static IP addresses outside the DHCP range. One is using port 554 for RTSP and the second is using 555. Both cameras work as expected when on the internal network.

I have the following set up in the firewall.

However - when I use canyouseeme to test that the port is indeed open 554 is indeed open and I can connect to the stream, but 555 is not. I have read quite a few posts on this thread and have deactivated UPnP. We do not yet have a static IP address for the BT Smart Hub 2 router, but I have checked that I am using the right IP address.

I am looking to link the cameras to a webservice such as RTSP.me so we can stream the video of owls in our net boxes which would be pretty cool.

Thanks

Richard.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your post.

I've spoken with a member of our high-level technical team to see if they can advise further on this. They've advised the setup looks fine for the internal network but that a block of static IPs might be required to connect via an external network.

If you need more help with this, please send me some further details via PM.

Thanks,

^SamG
