How to connect your BT Business Hub 3

To avoid any possible connection problems please make sure that your hub is connected properly.

First, check that you have ADSL filters fitted.

Any devices (telephones, faxes, extension bells or monitored-alarm systems) that plug into your phone line need filters fitted to them.

If you've an ADSL master socket (which looks like this), plug your broadband cable straight into the ADSL master socket's DSL socket.

Next, check that your hub is connected properly:

Using the broadband cable (grey ends), connect one end to an ADSL filter and the other end to the socket on the hub labelled ADSL.
Plug your hub into a mains power socket.

Then check your PC connection:

Plug one end of the yellow Ethernet cable into one of your hub's spare Ethernet (yellow) ports on the back of your hub.
Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into your computer's Ethernet socket.

Finish set-up using the CD:

Open Hub Manager and click the Broadband User Name Configure button.
Then enter your network login username and password (sent in your Welcome email/letter). Click Disconnect, change the entry as necessary, click Connect.

You should now be connected to the internet.

Unpack and Inspect: Unpack your BT Business Hub 3 and inspect the contents to ensure you have all the necessary components: the router, power adapter, DSL cable, and Ethernet cable.
Find the Master Phone Socket: Locate the master phone socket in your office or workspace. This is where the broadband service enters your premises.
Connect the Microfilter (if applicable): If your broadband service uses a traditional phone line (ADSL/VDSL), you'll need to use a microfilter to separate the broadband signal from the phone signal. Plug the microfilter into the master phone socket. MyAARPMedicare Pay Bill
Connect the BT Business Hub 3: Connect the BT Business Hub 3 to the microfilter or directly to the master phone socket using the DSL cable. The DSL port on the router is usually labeled "DSL" or "Broadband."
Power On the BT Business Hub 3: Plug the power adapter into a power outlet and connect it to the BT Business Hub 3. The router will power on automatically.
