BT FTTP ONT plug directly into Sonicwall TZ400

I have just had FTTP installed by BT Openreach. They have installed the new BT ONT which connects directly to the fibre cable. Can I plug my Sonicwall TZ directly into the Openreach ONT box and just user PPPoE credentials? or would I need a router in between?
