topic Smart hub 3 with 5 static IPs - outgoing requests via dynamic IP in Broadband

Hi,

I'm hoping to get some clarification, or even better, help/guidance.

I recently changes my single static IP with BT Business to 5 static IPs.
Since doing so, my smart hub 3 hub manager has adjusted and I have been able to point some of these 5 IPs to particular devices on my network - great.
However, what I was not expecting, is for outgoing requests to now be made via a dynamic IP which obviously changes as my router restarts.

1. Is this correct be behaviour
2. Is there any way to have 5 static IPs and still guarantee the outgoing IP address?

It sounds as though they haven't reconfigured your hub for the static IP addresses. Thsi page shows you how to do it https://business.bt.com/help/article/broadband-and-internet/getting-started/how-to-assign-multiple-static-ip-addresses-smart-hub/

We've just received a smart hub 3 which I haven't set up yet. Your eperience makes me suspect that this hub may not be configured correctly either so you've done me a favour by alerting me to the possibility. I hope you're able to reconfigure your hub with the info in the link. Good luck!
