topic Ancient BT laptop in The Lounge

Good afternoon all

In my loft I've discovered an elderly Zenith Data Systems twin-floppy laptop that's been rebadged British Telecom. It must have been there 15 years or more, and I have no memory of its provenance.

The asset number sticker is present, and the name of the person it was issued to in 1988 is still written on it.

I tried calling BT's technical support to see if BT had any interest in it and was told that if I sent it back it would be recycled because there would be no records pertaining to it, as the machine dates from nearly 40 years ago.

I would like to spare it such a fate, but I don't want my collar felt by his Majesty's constabulary if I keep it.

Can anyone offer advice on how best to proceed?

Could you please send over a private message with some more details about the laptop? Ideally a photo if you could?
