      <description>&lt;P&gt;We have a W73H yealink handset, that has been working fine since it was set up.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We have only just realised that it had stopped working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The handset is searching for the base but will not link to it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have gone through the resetting process&amp;nbsp; but nothing works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The base has all three lights working, but it will not connect the phone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;1. Check the handset is registered to the base&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Even if it was working before, it may have become unregistered.&lt;BR /&gt;On the handset:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Menu → Settings → Registration → Register Handset&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You should then see the base appear. If it asks for a PIN, the default is usually &lt;STRONG&gt;0000&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;2. Put the base in registration mode&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On the W70B/W73P base unit:&lt;BR /&gt;Press and hold the &lt;STRONG&gt;button on the front&lt;/STRONG&gt; until the &lt;STRONG&gt;top LED flashes&lt;/STRONG&gt;, which means it’s ready to pair.&lt;BR /&gt;Then retry registering the handset.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;3. Check the base connection&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Since all three lights are on, it suggests the base has power and network, but please double‑check:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The &lt;STRONG&gt;Power&lt;/STRONG&gt; LED is steady&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The &lt;STRONG&gt;Network&lt;/STRONG&gt; LED is steady or blinking normally&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The &lt;STRONG&gt;Registration/Phone&lt;/STRONG&gt; LED flashes when in pairing mode&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;4. Try a full reboot&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Unplug the &lt;STRONG&gt;power&lt;/STRONG&gt; cable from the base for 10 seconds&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Turn the handset off/on&lt;BR /&gt;Then retry registration.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;5. If the handset still says “Searching for Base”&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It may need a factory reset:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Handset:&lt;/STRONG&gt; Menu → Settings → Advanced → Reset (default PIN is 0000)&lt;BR /&gt;After resetting, try to register again.&lt;/P&gt;
