topic Can BT Polycom VVX601 Phones Be Reused or Sold Without Issues? in Phone line

Hi everyone,

We currently have a number of BT-branded Polycom VVX601 phones that are no longer in use, and we’re considering selling them. Before doing so, I wanted to check if there are any restrictions or steps we need to take first.

Do these phones need to be unlocked or deprovisioned before they can be used by a new owner? I’ve heard that BT may lock the firmware so the devices only connect to their own provisioning servers—can anyone confirm if that’s actually the case?

Also, if they are locked, is it possible to reflash or convert them to standard firmware so they can be used with other VoIP providers?
