btconnect email has stopped!

Since last summer the email addresses have gradually ceased to operate! I tried updating the passwords but there seems to be a delay in the new password being accepted (synced)! I know there is a 'gateway' involved but not anything more. Any advice is now welcome.

Have you followed these steps? Resetting email password

If following these steps still doesn't work, send me a Private Message and I can look into this further.

The password was not changed in actual fact, so I cannot identify where the problem exists! Any assistance is welcome thanks.

HI jrhewitson,

Are you able to log into secure.business.bt.com with the email address and then go into the "email" section? It will prompt you to log into Microsoft and then you click Outlook. Can you view the emails on the website?

Hi, it appears that the passwords have changed on some screens. The screens mention 'Manage Services' but I can't find such a link!

Hi jrhewitson

All btconnect emails need to be set up via POP settings:

Incoming Settings:	Outgoing Server Settings:
outlook.office365.com port 995 SSL - select the auto option	smtp.office365.com port 587 SMTP authentication applied/ticked TLS applied/ticked Authentication - password

If you're having issues with your email program and want to check if it's the program or the actual email itself, I would advise logging into the Outlook Webmail to check - if you're able to log into here fine then it is the email program. If you're also not able to log in here, this is when I would recommend doing a password reset here.
