We have a domain name and exchange email hosted by bt business. Yesterday all our domain emails stopped working. I have contacted BT Business support by web chat and was told that the domain was not hosted by BT and chat closed.

I am away on holidays and it is important to get this back working asap, my daughter is trying to complete a house purchase today using this email!

we previously had issues with this ( BT Business Forum chat with BethM 15/11/22) but believed all sorted then. A quick check on WhoIs reveals some activity on the domain name yesterday, not initiated by us.

please can someone advise how to proceed, I’m on a yacht in the Mediterranean with little phone coverage!

I’ve trawled through loads of emails and it seems likely that our domain name needs renewing. Can anyone help me to get into BT Domains please? Nothing I’ve tried seems to work

Eventually, after some time I’ve finally got a search under ‘Domain renewal’ to work. There was an option to renew expired domain names which I followed and less than ten minutes later I’d successfully renewed our domain name. I’m delighted it was so easy but distinctly unhappy about how BT Business web chat shut me down yesterday , after almost an hour waiting for an agent, telling me that our domain name wasn’t registered by BT.

at least it’s sorted now
