Had a robo call saying our internet is being discontinued for illegal activities.

I had a robo call that said British Telecom is discontinuing our internet because of illegal activities and to press 1 to speak to an operaror or agent. I hung up before it could finish.

Has anyone experienced this? I want to double check it's a scam.
