What search directories provide a good click-through rate? Any hints and tips?

Most of my traffic currently comes through organic search, fortunately, however I am interested to know if anyone has got a reasonable click-thorugh rate from any free or moderately priced directory submissions?

I've just checked my analytics for the year and the best performers for me, as a website selling soft toy animals, are;

twenga.co.uk (ppc shopping directory)

toyshopuk.co.uk

3moz.co.uk

hotfrog.co.uk

flesko.co.uk

freeindex.co.uk

k9safesearch.com

qype.co.uk

toylistings.org

vetclick.com

and

bttradespace (although site seems to be having some problems at the moment).

I've also found that I get a lot of click-throughs on my images, social media and also google maps.  I'd love to hear which directories, forums and accessible backlink opportunities others have had success with.

Those sites don't exactly give good amount of traffic to your site, but it will help though. Use all of them as each site gives a different result.

You can go for backlink for your site in PR1-PR2 site or blog. That may help increase trafic in your site.
