How long is an MSO supposed to take to repair? I reported it on 14th May!
What are the resolution scales and fix timeframes for an MSO?
Why will no one explain exactly what the issue is! Is it a cable, a board etc etc.
I am a small business in a rural location, I have BT Business FTTP with downloads Est: 910Mbps and uploads Est: 104MBps and a so called 4G backup which by BT's own definition is a Poor Signal. Now I can accept that might be acceptable for say an hour maybe even a few hours but it is the 28th now and this is seriously affecting my business.
I was advised to buy a dongle, so far I have spent just short of £200 so far and various data cards because obviously EE like the poor backup signal is poor. I tested Tesco and there signal so far has been the best, will test Vodafone next for a Backup. Oh and I guess I will need to pay for the service I am not receiving as well.
However the data download and upload is no where near what I am paying for how long should I have suffer this and lose business and money and be told I cant have compensation until the matter is resolved under my complaint which means I have to stay with this service until fixed to get my money back.
Hi allypepper
With MSOs, there is no set timescale as they can vary wildly depending on the root cause. Our service status checker should be able to give you the most up to date estimated fix date from Openreach. If you need more info, please private message me.
Beth,
I have no idea what the root cause is, I have worked in IT and know how to implement a fibre network. What i dont like is being told, what I have is what I have and throw a grenade in the air and get on with it by Indian call centers who frankly are reading a script and repeating information back to me I already have on the screen. What I want to know is to paraphrase your words here - is the "root cause" and why it is taking so long, it is causing serious damage to my business and yes I am upset and frustrated because there is no information. The complaints team really could not care less, its costing me money on top of paying BTs monthly fee and my clients are not happy as I am struggling to provide a service to them. To top it all today I cannot even login to my business account I keep getting this:

Oh and I just tried that service status and it said Good Service - No problems in your area which is completely untrue as in the BT Business App there is a network issue and a lot of people who are residents are experiencing the same issue. This is just nuts!
