Can anyone help with the email settings for the kindle fire, I have used the btconnect and can only send, not receive, my account has been updated so I suspect I need the outlook servers

I appear to be having the same problems but can't even get it to send e-mails.
What details have you keyed on your Kindle?
Have you used other as the start point for email?

Sorry, miss spelt first section
I should be using the outlook server thus :-
Server name - pop.outlook.com
port - 995
Encryption - SSL
However this did not work
I then tried the old btconnect settings :-
and found I could send - but not receive, double checked BT's settings, I then tried a hybrid of the two :-
STARTTLS (the only one that appeared to work)
(Untick requires sign on)
All worked fine until about 21:00 last night, now I cannot receive again
UPDATE - deleted my btconnect account and re-loded it with the hybrid settings again, appears to be working again

This may be a long shot and I've not been able to try this yet but would it make any difference if you are using 1 password for btconnect and another password for outlook 365?
Forget the above it doesn't work!!
Now set the Kindle up as you described using the hybrid details. It appears I can now receive emails but can't send any they just remain in the outbox!!!
Have now found that there's an error message "Connection problem (Btconnect)". can't understand this as I can still send e-mails from my laptop!!
Tried deleting and re loading still receives but can't send.... GREAT!!
Does anyone know if I have to do something with my email account, change sttings etc to allow emails to be sent. I'm using outlook365 but can't seem to get in to any of the settings ie pop;smtp ports used etc

Think I may have sorted this using the updated settings as follows:-
Seem to have found the right combination to get everything working.
User name xxxxxxx@btconnect,com
password same as 365
Pop3 server enter pod51017.outlook.com
security type SSL/TLS
Out going settings
SMTP Server enter pod51017.outlook.com
Security type STARTTLS
Tick require sign in
password same as outlook 365
Only taken me about 12 hours to get this to work but may save other people some time

Have read this thread and followed advice to the letter but no joy at all. Just have dialogue box saying Unable to finish account setup. Can anyone help me with the settings for imap or POP3 so that I can get my btconnect email set up on my Kindle Fire please? Would greatly appreciate it.

Try this link I've contributed to both threads but think this one contains the details to get you going.
You need to key the details exactly but one other thing, from memory I think the kindle defaults right at the top of the screen to IMAP change this to Pop3.
