Our office only has around 8 or 9 people working in it with 4-5 office phones.
Obviously, most just use their cellphones, but for the 4-5 who actually receive phone calls to the office, what would be the "best" phone system solution?
Our offices are still very much using the same phones and phone system from the last decade (i.e. literally some of the phones are held together by tape).
We're a General Contractor, so we don't need anything too fancy.
Basically just need to receive calls, transfer them to other phones in the office.
Maybe have a message that sends extensions, i.e. for "Accounting, please dial 1," "HR, please dial 2," etc.. would be nice, but not necessary.
And some basic conference calls.
After googling around, I'm seeing VOIP phones.
We're located in an island (but with the usual amenities), so not sure what vendors would be available, or if I can just use an off-island vendor, or even should.
Is it more expensive, cheaper? We're paying around $350/month for internet & our 4 phone system currently.
I'd appreciate any guidance. Not really familiar with any advancements in the office phone space at all.
