Problem to set up new DNS to website on external server

My client has commissioned me to build a new website on external hosting. His domain is still on BT, website is ready to run but I'm a surprised DNS settings on BT panel. I have a few questions.

1. What 'Type' should I choose?
2. What 'Key' should I choose?
If I use IP of new hosting adress?

Of course I have standard DNS addresses but I can't use them because I don't see options on the panel where could I apply them.

Hi martinm,

depenging on the type of new hosting the website is going to be on, you would need to set the WWW and the @ records as A records and point them to the IP address of the hositng server.
