phpMyAdmin won't install

Trying to install phpMyAdmin in the Control Panel but I can't get past stage 4. I go through the options fine then it says 'Installing' with the spinning loading gif endlessly and won't actually install. Had similar problems with Wordpress although in the end I did that manually. Have tried in both Chrome and Firefox.

Probably the best and more definate way to install both WP and PHPMyAdmin would be through and FTP application, either Fetch for Mac or LeechFTP for PC should to the trick.

 

Using this option allow you to get around the high cost of the monthly subscription that includes PHPMyAdmin on the Control Panel (£6pm compared to £20pm). Although, I think there may be a permissions issue as I've just uploaded PHPMyAdmin and its not allowing my usrname or pasword.

 

If you have any luck, post here so I can rule out the permissions problems.
