I divert my bt landline to my mobile and it costs me approx £300-350 a quarter, after speaking to a bt representative she said that there was a package to help me save on this where I subscribe to a bt/vodaphone mobile phone.
I believe that the costs for the mobile was £30 a month for 500 mins, 100 texts per month £3, if I wanted to upgrade my phone it would be (depending on phone) £5 a month.
Which phones can I upgrade to? also can I bring my number from old network? what is the length of the contract? can I swap the phone after a certain amount of time before the end of teh contract as no extra cost?

One solution which would be perfect for you is something O2 offered recently. It would automatically divert your landline to your mobile for free, no divert charges etc. However the company they used to provide the service went bust so they bought it and have temporarily stopped providing the service to new customers, however this is sure to change in the near future.
How much are you paying per minute for diverted calls to your mobile do you know?
