Hi Guys
1, Website starting to look good www.zygiproperties.com I am not sure about this, when I do a test for emails for some reason it returns via carrierzone but its in Text 1 Text 2 Text 3 its looks unprofessional so not sure of what needs to be done .
2, When this website site was set up I asked the lady to help out with a password on info@zygiproperties.com a problem has now developed on outlook express which keeps asking for the login password on the main pc. So not sure what the password is, any help would be a great help
Thanks Guys
Pete
1. In the form, change the Input Name for each field to what you want them to display as in the email. Text 1, Text 2, etc are the defaults but this can be customised.
2. You would need to ask BT what the password for this is.
Hi Dave
No Luck
On the e mail form you enter Name Address ECT. I then removed the input name at the base where its shows Text 1 Text 2, I then deleted them. I then copyed and paste the Name Address into the text fields hoping that this is going to do it, returned e mail displayed text 1 text 2 text 3 text 4 upto 9.In the text fileds will it need to be lower case.
Thanks
Pete
Did you remember to save the page and republish the site after changing this? After this, you will also need to refresh the browser before testing.
Hi Dave
saved page after amendments then publish, I could not find how to refresh on the site, so close down then I refreshed the main browser sent test e mail ,still came back the same in text 1-9
Sorry
Pete
To refresh the browser you would either hold CTRL and hit F5 on your keyboard or, depending on the browser, manually clear cache and cookies usually under "Tool" and "Clear Private Data" or possibly "Clear browsing history" or even under "Internet Options"
Hope this helps.
Hi duskjome
Ok I did do what you suggested, but still no luck,
E mails still returning in text 1 2 3 4 ect
If i put a link in like info@zygiproperties.com on any page the outlook express will open so the vistor can enter details which is fine, and e mails return in outlook ex I did notice their is a custom section, would i need some sort of programm to do this, or have I just not entered the details incorrectly on the email form.
Many Thanks
Pete
Hi duskjome
Thanks to all of you at bt, I have been on to support and there was an issue, with the setup to the contact form. This is how I received emails in outlook at the beginning
text_1: name bob
text_2: address UK
text_3:
text_4:
text_5:
textarea_6:
button_7: Submit Query
But now I received incoming emails from the website like this on outlook express
Name: pete
Address: UK
Telephone: 7777
Mobile:
Company:
Message: hello
Submit: Submit Query
I am not sure if the form is to perform like this, it is ok and better then before. I have now put in links to each page info@zygiproperties.com and this comes out perfect in outlook do you know why.
Many Thanks
Pete
