Hi,
I have a new 2 wire router and have 5 public IP addresses. What I need to do is redirect the traffic to pcs on our private LAN. As the gateway will have one of the IP addresses will I have to give the pcs inside the LAN public IPs or can the 2wire direct traffic from the public addresses to private addresses?
Thanks
Fraser
"NAT and Address allocation" of Settings, LAN can be used to allocate addresses including assigning public static IP to internal privately mapped machines, assuming router is used to allocate from the private DHCP pool. Alternatively machines can be made fully public. Depends upon requirement. The answer is yes.
