BT Business Hub 3 WiFi issues

I have only had the new hub for a couple of weeks, since I upgraded to BT Infinity for business. THe WiFi connection stays, but the internet connection keeps dropping. This only affects devices connecting via WiFi.

 

The same issue has been reported for the BT Home Hub 3 here.

Firmware version I have is Version 4.7.5.1.83.8.82.1.1 (Type A)

 

I have tried manually setting the channel (multiple channels) and switching off anything else in the house that may affect it. The laptop I use which is connected via WiFi is only a couple of feet from the hub.

 

One of the error messages I am seeing in the logs is...

CCA failure > 1 second

 

However, as you can see there are many more of these...

Clearly something is wrong! My old Netgear never had this problem.

Forgot to ask the all important questions, is this being looked at by engineers already? I can't imagine I am the only one being affected. Also, as it has been like this since the first day of use, I assume the equipment is faulty. Is there a route to gettting either a replacement or compensation to buy an alternative that actually works?

I can't answer your question directly but can say the Hub 3 has been a failure from day one so I would imagine the engineers if they have any will not be wasting any more time on the thing.

 

If yours is faulty as you say get them to change it after all they did supply it.

 

I wont use it as it just wont do what we need it to do & I still use 2wires for my ADSL connections
