Can anyone help so I don't waste hours of valuable time on the phone with BT. I have ADSL and a BT 2701HGV-C router which would occassional slow and/or freeze. After the last fault and some time on with the helpdesk it was suggested that I get a newer router. Got hold of customer services who would NOT replace their faulty router but would kindly send me Business Hub 3 if I agreed to renew my contract for a further two years - they would not send me a Business Hub 5 unless I paid them about £75.
I reluctantly accepted the UPGRADE to my service, ha ha, and the router arrived. Within two days it was slowing down and freezing. After endless reboots for no improvement so I spent more of my valuable life wasting time complaining to BT and they reluctantly agreed to send a new Hub 3. It arrived and did exactly the same as the first one. I have this afternoon tried twice to connect to the online chat system on;ly to cut off twice by the same helpful advisor 'Alistair' when he read my question.
I suppose the only real solution is to buy a router which works - but which one????
