Hello,
We have just regisered for the BT Business VoIP service. On the back of the router there is the phone line connection which looks like an RJ11. I am told that many phones will work..even normal household handsets? I would need an RJ11 to normal telephone connection adaptor.
Basically I am asking which phones are compatible and where is best to look? We only need something basic.
Many thanks,
Not quite.
I presume you have a 2wire2700/2701. If so, there was a special adapter supplied with it which splits the RJ11 output into 2 lines - a standard RJ11 to BT (BS6312 431A) wwill not work as you will have one leg of a pair on the ring wire.
Any analogue phone should work with it - I have several different ones running on mine. The plces such as the online BT shop, Argos, Currys &c.
Hi Martin
If you do not have the 2wire splitter can you please send me a private mail with your broadband number and ill get one sent out to you.
regards
