BT EMAIL UPGRADE - NO RECEIPT ON BLACKBERRY - HAVE TRIED ALL THE OPTIONS POSTED - CAN MARK HELP?

This is really intended for 'the Administrator' call MARK who seems to be the person resolving most of the problems.

Mine is that I still cant get receipt of emails on my Blackberry -DESPITE have tried and tried the various options which it has been suggested one should try, I have now not had emails on the Blackberry for over a month, which is causing me major head aches with Clients trying to get hold of me whilst I am out of the office.

I have spent literally hours now, time totally wasted which would - if I charged at my Client rate several hundred pounds.

I must ask the question why has BT made this so difficult - and it obviously is as so many people have been searching for answers to the same problem, if I, as a small company, handled my clients in this way I would go out of business pretty quickly,

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP AND PROVIDE ME WITH AN ANSWER, UNFORTUNATELY SO MANY OF MY CLIENTS AFTER NEARLY 20 YEARS EMAIL TO AT mycompanyname@btconnect.com

Thanks you in anticiaption of some help

How are you setting up the Blackberry? I don't personally own one but I have played around with them and I know that they can work with the MS service.

Assuming that you have the Lite email product...

Log into the Outlook Web App using your domain email address and password, then click on the Options link under Outlook. On the page that appears, click on the link that says "Settings for POP, IMAP, and SMTP access..."

Use these instructions from Blackberry to set up the account.

Hopefully, you should get your email.

Adrian hi

thank you for taking the time to help, I have managed now to sort the problem out, I did do what you suggested however the fault was probably me by not remembering we are dealing with BT and nothing is simple andyou never get all the information you need from one source.

I discovered that BT had changed my user name from companyname@btconnect.com to companyname@companyname .co.uk

Obvious! - I dont think. once I put that in all plain sailing.

I still have the problem of the phone not accepting. myname@companyname.co.uk but I will have another go when I get over this stress to the system.

Sorry to go on about BT - but I have have had all too many problems with them over the years which have cost me literally thousands of pounds, unfortunately non of which i could prove.

How bad is BT ISDN line ?  We have spoken to Aileen Shanks and Wendy Logan in the " Chairmans office " for two months now - while they terminate broadband service - swith off telephone lines and send in BT openreach engineers to destroy our business telephone service.  Mohammed the openreach engineer confirmed he had disconnected broad band - then he and his chums spent a week " looking for the fault ".  Wendy Logan ( Glasgow call centre - Chaormans office has this fault ofr some two months now - still has not dealt with it - and has failed to reply or respond.

We cannot get any local engineer - having to suffer with Plymouth Colindae Lincoln as being closest to hertfordshire. Richard Hogarth was " to get involved " he did NOTHING.

The ceo and chairman of BT are aware - and refuse toprovide any telephone service.  Today I ordered a land line from Barry Fry and aske dhim to disconnect ISDN becasue it soes not work - and transfer my number 01727 833857 over to a simple landline - in the hope we might obtian a working business telephone line.
