Hello All.
We have a BT Inspiration CCU installed at the office, it is connected to two incomming VM telephone lines and one VOIP DLINK PSTN Adapter (Allowing us to be Skyped)
Acording to a VM advisor, they are now providing the Caller ID service on their lines where previously this was a paid service which we didnt pay for and so didnt have. But now its free (Apparently)
So I turned on CDS Detection via -
System Programming > Lines > PSTN Programming > CDS Detection and enabled it for both lines.
But none of the feature phones are showing the caller id information, thinking that we might have been mislead by VM, I tried a manky Binatone handset that does have caller id on it and unplugged the CCU from one of the master sockets and plug this directly in and we do indeed have the caller id service present on the lines.
Am I doing something wrong, should it be as simple to enable the CDS detection on the relavent lines ? and I missing something ?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
followup question about the CDS support on the inspiration, is it FSK or DTMF or both ?
