I have been through some of the topic where i see related answers but not clear indication if its possible or not.
In our office currently we are using Asterisk server and routing only incoming calls using Direct inbound numbers (sip numbers), and willing to transfer our phone line to BT and use it both for inbound and outbout and i expect BT to serve us VOIP line where we can simply use that as Inbound or outbout Routes. Is this possible?
Or in simple terms,
can we use BT VOIP to be used with our asterisk server in any way?
Any feedback would be helpful before we move our entire line and broadband towards BT. 😛
I think every provider should be good to use SIP. Just as long port 5060 is not blocked. We tried to use Xlite as a client and it used random ports too.
So IF they don't block any ports, it should be fine.
Hi thanks for the reply,
But i am looking for service that also should not block me using it through my asterisk server As a Trunk (Gateway) and me being able to route those calls as i wish rather using BT ip phone.
If yes, how would i register my Server domain/IP as i dont see BT providing anything like that so doubted they provide any service at all or not.
i have a doubt if they provide is only voip phone not sip trunk.
Thanks
